Is it really an issue?

Surely anyone can have their display done by about 9pm anyway- which, to be fair on others, is a sociable time to finish.

It's only new years even that needs to be so late.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Inclined to agree with you David, as much as i love fireworks letting them off in the wee hours is going to give someone the hump somewhere, having a set time adds to the specialness of it,if they could be fired whenever would it still have the same 'magic'.

Having waiter once for some Latino clients to come out for fireworks at Midnight on a NYE and them finally coming out at 0040! I was very pleased to have 0100 as a cut off time! Some people really can't get things done to time!

Keep mannequins and watermelons away from fireworks..they always get hurt..
