Shimizu Table 10 - The comparison of burning rates between Shellac and Accroides Resin
-------- Burning Rate -------
Oxidiser ------- Shellac (20%) --- Accroides resin (20%)
NH4ClO4 -------- 1.6 mm/sec ------ 2.0mm/sec
KClO3 ---------- 1.3 ------------- 2.5
KClO4 ---------- incombustible --- 1.5
This demonstrates quite neatly why you tend to see Shellac in chlorate stars and Red Gum in perchlorate stars.

I think I have that text myself somewhere, but I have a tendency to be a little bit absent-minded.
Thank you.

It took me a while to find a reference for this one but it's Shimizu Table 10.
