On a serious note I have seen loads of cases where cows (not the brightest of animals) have decided the remains look like a good snack and then they end up with metal all twisted around their insides - not very pretty sight to see!!
As for them being banned, not sure whether that will do an awful lot, how do they plan to police something like that?
Mind you, i think i would prefer to launch rockets than an lantern, i think they look prettier ;-) (obviously i am not saying the 3 year old should be launching rockets)
