Things that I would add to your 2 lists:
Foil tape
Large cable ties
Rothy
Marker pen
Hammer

Iwouldn't bother with Visco.

I've used the small fishing float glow sticks to highlight where fuses are on cat3 stuff at home, in the past.

As for belt or box, I'd go for both, a box to keep it all safe and dry, then a belt for use when fuseing etc.

Yeah a Rothy is a mapp torch, great bits of kit until you get the nozzle damp then you still need matches and portfires, which happened to me at the weekend

Dont suppose you know where i could get cheap/SH pumps etc ?
I have a 5 in oil vapour diffusion pump and want something suitably sized as a backing pump.

Had a look at ebay, but could not find much, look-up these companies on the web - Girovac Ltd in Norfolk (I believe they sell refurbished pumps), also try - Island Scientific Ltd (sell spares) in the Isle of White.

The tools needed will depend on your style of show and firing! A hand fired show will need QM and time fuse, an electric show will benefit from automatic wire strippers as well as cutters. Using a belt the flexi cables the motorcyclists use for keys helps stop the tools wandering. There are hi vis paints that are ultrabright or even luminous to assist in recovering tools in the dark.

My tools on site go in a Maplin N69HL which goes from full price to £9.99 at times.

Keep mannequins and watermelons away from fireworks..they always get hurt..
