And in doing so puts me in a position to advise, yeah I did wrong and learnt by it and I don't try to hide that fact not saying all of your statements above are entirely true in fact there is an element of misinformation there. This forum fails to grasp the fact that many learn by their mistakes. I'm not here to cause trouble, i'm preventing others from getting into the trouble that I did. I looked long and hard into the leglislation, this research is what sharply stopped me in my tracks although in hindsight perhaps this research should have taken place beforehand. If you don't want somebody that can talk from experience and you persist in tarring me with the same old brush then fine, UKPS is of no real benefit to me, I don't have to post, I choose too.

If I were continuing to buy bangers etc then yes by all means call me a hypocrite but i'm not and have not for a long time so don't.

Now are you going to contribute to this discussion and perhaps advise one of your members, or just take another low swipe at me personally. There is more than one person of reasonable stature following this through with me that aren't neccessarily major players in the UKPS circuit, if one of your members is doing something wrong shouldn't they be advised as such?!

Dumper, I can understand your comments, we all know that Masterchief, Karl, has done some things that he now regrets.. but the key word is HAS. Karl has left certain activities behind him and is now a very hard working and trusted member of our display crew.

So while I can understand that past activities may attract the comments you posted, things are certainly different now :)

I sincerely hope so as some of his previous activities attracted a bad light onto our jobs/past times.

Karl maybe instead of bluntly enforcing the laws on him why not maybe tell him your experiences and what you have learnt, possibly preventing him from going down the same path as you did? Instead you gave him cold blunt facts instead of just kindly having a word so to speak.

As for a personal low swipe, I dont know you for it to be personal its a mere observation and one in which I thought and still do think hypocrits have ground to redicule others for the same activity. Maybe if you had of worded your advise differently then you would not have come across as a hypocrit?

I cant advise on this particular matter as I do not fully understand the legislation surrounding sale to the general public.

I dont think many full time retailers FULLY nderstand it themselves, but what has been mentioned here is the gist of it :)

Just come back to see this thread. Obviously if there is any suggestion that stolen goods have been handled, then this is something that needs to be dealt with by the Police and HSE. From what I gather this process has already begun so I will allow it to take its course. In the meantime I will close this thread as it appears all has been said. If anything is needed to assist in this process - the appropriate persons may contact me.

For the record, Ghengis Fireworks and Shellscape Pyrotechnics have contacted me and I have asked pjalchemist to speak directly to both parties to assist in their queries.
