just heard gerry anderson has died at 83.

his work with small scale model explosions on thunderbirds was fantastic

i still think it stands the test of time

The man actually responsible for the explosions and effects was Derek Meddings. A pioneering genius in the field IMHO.

When Brocks shut down their Hemel factory, I ended up with a lot of their fountains and I supplied Derek Meddings.
