I have the corn cob but haven't gotten around to testing it. I do use it as an inert filler in my shells though instead of saw dust or sand. It is about 3x as dense as the rice hulls I have. I was worried about it becoming overwhelmingly heavy in larger shells. I bet it would be nice in smaller shells though giving it more momentum to carry it into the air.
