Name: Strontium Perchlorate. http://www.endmemo.c...nd/srclo4_2.php
Formula: Sr(ClO4)2
Molar Mass: 286.5212
Example Reactions:
• SrCO3 + 2HClO4 = Sr(ClO4)2 + CO2 + H2O
• 2HClO4 + Sr(HCO3)2 = 2CO2 + 2H2O + Sr(ClO4)2
Strontium chlorate: Strontium chlorate is created by warming a solution of strontium hydroxide, and adding chlorine to it, which subsequent crystallization. Chlorine has no action on dry Sr(OH)2, but it converts the hydrate (Sr(OH)2·8H2O) into the chloride and chlorate, with a small quantity of strontium hypochlorite also being produced.[2] https://en.wikipedia...ontium_chlorate

The electrochemical preparation of strontium perchlorate, Sr(ClO4)2, from strontium chlorate employing platinum anode and a rotating stainless steel cathode is described. The effect of electrolyte concentration, current density, pH and temperature of the electrolyte and cathode rotation on current efficiency for the preparation of strontium perchlorate was studied. A maximum current efficiency of 42% was achieved corresponding to an energy consumption of 6.1 kWh. kg−1.
