15lb Ball mill for sale!

28 August 2008 - 10:30 PM

Hi.
I havn't been on the forum for a while due to family commitments which I wont go into detail about. Due to this, Ive had some life changing events recently. I have given up my pyro hobby for now and am moving to Greece (Crete) soon.

Because of this, Im having a clear out and one of the things im selling that some of you maybe interested in is a rather nice 15lb, 240 volt ball mill in absolute tip-top condition. I wont go into too much detail as i've wrote an extensive ebay description. If your interested take a look here - http://cgi.ebay.co.u...e...E:IT&ih=013

Cheers,

Lew.

Does Zinc 'bullion' have any scrap value?

15 June 2007 - 11:10 PM

I have come across some scrap Zinc Anodes, used for bolting to the hulls of ships.

The nearest scrapyard is quite some distance away and I was wondering if they will be worth anything as scrap?

10 bars of uncorroded zinc. pretty much pure, and about 20Kg per bar. (200Kg in total)

Any ideas?

High speed cameras

13 May 2007 - 01:04 AM

Does anyone know of a reasonably cheap high speed digi camera?

I have a reasonably good samsung camera that cost about £200.

in video mode, it shoots a max of 30 frames per second. while this is quite good for 'normal' video, it is not so good for shooting pyro clips (rockets, fountains and shells etc).

i like to slow the video down to 'examine' the result afterwards, and 30 fps is quite jerky at any speed more than 4x slower.

any ideas on a cheapish camera with a much higher frames per second ratio?

cheers.

Fancy free sky digital for christmas?

26 November 2006 - 07:21 AM

Hi, lew here.

Not realy related to pyro, so I have put this in the general discussion topic.

I have just returned from a few months working overseas, and was going to upgrade my sky digital package to one of those fancy sky+ units that have the built in hard disc recorder and can pause live TV ect B) .

Sounds good, but the robbing b******s from sky want £99 for a new box and £60 for instalation  . Being a tight git, I thought I might wait untill january.

However, as if by fate, yesterday I got a letter in the post from sky advertising a "introduce a friend" package.

Heres the deal,

A "friend" of mine (you have to be a new customer to sky) phones up sky and orders sky digital, and you say you were reccomended by an existing customer (me). For being reccomended, you get a free sky digital box and free instalation (£60) or a half price sky+ box (£50 but very nice) and free instalation when you get a multi room package. I think the basic packages start at at around £15 a month.

For reccomending a friend, I get a free sky+ box and free instalation. if the friend I reccomended wanted a sky+ box I would be willing to split the £50 cost with them fifty fifty.

I hate to sound like a sales person, but I dont see the point in two people giving sky £300 between them when we could both get it for free (or £25 each)

Everybody I know either has sky or dosn't want it, so im just looking for someone to be my recommended friend. Could it be you...

let me know if your interested.
Lew.
