Sorry Big G, I've been away.

Silver stars - 100 kno3+60 sulphur+20 al powder+20 al flake+7 dextrin
Green stars - 144 barium chlorate+24 accaroid resin+16 charcoal+8 dextrin

fuse - I drilled holes down the side of my cone and glued quickmatch (impregnated fluffy string in a craft straw) in them with pva. These connected to the mines and flash through holes near their bases. I enclosed the fuses in plastic straws for durability/waterproofing, these being glued with hot melt to the cases.

Everything went to plan on the night, but I wish I'd used more flash powder - the bogof Spook cakes I bought were excellent and made more noise than my flash cracker! Actually, I must confess, the 500grm Spook volcano was bigger than my one as well, if not quite so exciting.

I would like to provide the video my cousin took but as yet I have no idea how to do so, and I can't even get the video off his camcorder as we do not have the leads/firewire card. My brother took a photo of the firework before it was set off which hopefully shows the construction, but as yet he has not sent it to me. I'll e-mail it to you when it arrives.

Barry

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I'm quite excited about an idea I've been developing - I have always liked big aluminium fountain cones, but the one I've made for the fifth has three quick match conections to mines ( one silver stars, the other green stars) and a flash cracker. The idea is that as the fountain builds up power, first one mine goes off, then another, and when it dies away the flash goes off. I made a simpler version for last new year which worked well and I can't wait to try the new one.
