Morrisons offer in (full) detail

16 October 2009 - 04:32 PM

Courtesy of my small win at the Texam Hold em torny the other night - I was 'allowed' to purchase the Morrisons offer...Missus says we can have a bit of fun the night before our proper BFN party..

Anyhoo the offer is as follows:

(TNT) Sorcerer selection box...On the outside packaging it says '25 Metres Selection Box' ..Inside there are 2 (tiny) wheels, 3 (tiny) rockets, 6 Roman Candles and 15 Fountains....Every single firework in the box states '5 Metre viewing distance' (< So much for the 25 metre it says on the outside)

Of the freebies; The 3 small mines are 5 metre fireworks, 2 emit stars, 1 emits sparks...Time Warp is a 25 metre small RC which ejects stars, the V, small 100 shot 'Nite Theatre' [sic] is of the same ilk, only that ejects whistles and stars, the 8 'Warp Factor' rockets all eject stars and it says '5 metre safety distance' on both the plastic pack and on all the rockets.

So there you have it - No bangs at all, and they reckon these are worth £85? Yeah ok I know I coulda got a couple of great things for £40 from one of the many shops that represent themselves here, but they're all too far from me. Anyhoo - it'll just be a bit of fun on Guy Fawkes Eve for me, the wife and our 3 boys.

Worst Value Sib Or Large Firework?

15 October 2007 - 11:07 AM

For me, the vote has to go to 'Blue Blitz' by Brother's. A surprise really because a lot of Brother's fireworks are great...But £55 (rrp) for 11 seconds of nothing is totally lame.

Fireworks at Latif's

27 October 2006 - 02:59 PM

Not sure how I've missed this site over the past few weeks...has anyone else heard of this place...I mean,, HOW cheap are these fireworks??? No wonder they've sold out of so many with all the offers they have running...
Anyone any idea of which range of fireworks these are ? http://www.latifs.co.uk/

Sparky Fireworks

25 October 2006 - 10:55 AM

A lot of you guys on here seem to be very much 'in the know' regarding fireworks..I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on Sparky Fireworks.. I'm just an amatuer pyromaniac and enjoy having large display's in my garden..I wish I could get my hands on some of those (coconut looking) shells and other pro fireworks but I'm having to do with what Sparky's (and others) offer. I do get them cheaper than what the general public would pay, but still feel I'm missing out... This year I have gotten myself 'Close Call' , 'The Gladiator', 'The Ultimate' and 'Continental Shaker' as part of my collection...any ideas on what these are like???
One other question....Seeing as I can't get my hands on any of those shells I mentioned earlier,,what are the biggest (and or) best rockets avaliable to the general public? I prefer loud to colourful (typically the wife is opposite lol)..I'm far from rolling in piles of cash, so value for money also comes into the equation..
