How to make Home-made Fireworks

11 February 2007 - 08:36 PM

This was started by wanting to know other people's idea's of making a home-made firecracker and what materials are needed

I can start by saying that i use a thick paper and roll it around a rod (the diameter i would like) to create a heavy walled tube, then i wrap it as TIGHT as i can wiht duck tape to conseal the pressure and make the tubing stronger.

Then i cut out a circle from a heavy cardboard box or from a light weight piece of wood, Then i go to the store and buy long or short term Epoxy (depends on how long u want to wait) they all work the same.
I epoxy one circle to the tubing. I also drill a hole into the side to fit the wick into. Then i PACK!! BP into it with as much pressure as u can to make it extremely compact and pressurized. I then epoxy the last cirlce onto the tubing to seal the pressure, then i might epoxy more of the ends and to make sure that the pressure is good.

after all of this you can have fun lighting your own fireworks saftly and with the supervision of adults.

Have fun

Thank you.. :D
