Barium Perchlorate is an extremely hygroscopic salt, to the point of being used an a commercial desiccant, and should not be used in any pyrotechnic compositions.

The actual correct term is Paloma, which is spanish for dove. The polumna spelling came about from some "kewl bomz" type document that was spread around the internet during the early 90's.
