Wow that is quite some collection. Are you giving up the art?

I'd pretty well given it up two years ago, just haven't got around to selling these until now. In the autumn my BP press will start its new career in the field of cider making  I might have a few other bits of tooling to sell at some point - will put a heads up on here if and when I do.

I've been having a clear-out and have just got round to putting my no-longer wanted pyro literature on eBay. They're on as charity auctions, so you'll be helping a very worthy cause (in the form of the Woodland Trust). Well, two worthy causes if I count as one ;)

Hi, I'm sure it was assumed anyway, but I feel it's only polite to let you guys know that I won't be at the AGM. Just got back to uni and I'm in the middle of my exams now, and I need to give priority to that really... I will try to be present at the next UKPS event, if being a poor and hard working student permits!

Hope those who are going all have a good time,

I have what I think is probably the very same arbour press, and had just the same problem, and solved it in pretty much the way you describe. don't use it very often - just for pressing small comets/large stars, but on these occasions I've clamped it down to a piece of wood. One day I will get round to actually bolting it to a wooden base, but for light duty star pressing, G crams have done the trick.

Please can you stop using foul language, it does not help to prove a point. We are all mature enough not to use foul language I dont care if it contains *. The violence does not help any situation, I can understand wanting to use it in anger but it will not help.

Agreed. I didn't plan on commenting here, but since my view's already been voiced by karlfoxman, I'm going to back him up. I'm not going to pass judgement either way, since I don't know the details of situation at all, but I agree that getting violent in a situation like this is something to avoid if at all possible.
