I don't think that thats the right way of looking at it mate, I know what you mean though, I had WA plates on in NSW and the good thing about that is ignorance to rules T3 etc etc and penalties only apply in money form not point accrual, however I think they may have changed that now? Anyway it's driving over the border where your subject to inspections by hwy police and going in and outta the ACT the federal police, thats where the problems would be.

The whole BBQ get together, show and tell thing sounds lovely but wouldn't it pose a high degree of risk given that the people attending would be unknown and letting off however many times more firework than normal as to when on your own, would also add to the risk factor. Unless someone had a property in the bush I'm talking acres and acres of property, it would be better. Would also have to come from the same state, crossing states with aliens in the trunk wouldn't be advisable.
