Not really, KMNo4 + Mg flash compared to say some gold star mix with lampblack charcoal sulphur and kno3.No extra chance of getting hurt is there on the second one?

My dad lives in austria, you wont get anything in vienna you really have to go to kaernten or a more rural area there they sell huge bags of KNO3 extremely cheaply :)

Thank you, i have added in a bit of BP into the mix and it ignites fine il prime the stars anyway if it still ownt light well.
