Karl, that looks like shock tube, used in place of det cord in blasting. Does it look like the tube is "dusted" inside with powder, and a wire running through the length of it ? If so, it's a mix of HMX and aluminum powder. I think for pyro use there are "shock to flame" adapters and vice versa, that the large display companies use.
If it's initiated by a cap, it has an awesome velocity of detonation.

Having used vasts amountsof Nomatch [shocktube] this picture looks nothing like shock tube as there is no flame with nomatch.once the tube is ignited it is over and done with in milli seconds and is much safer to hold in your hand then lit PIC.

Hey yo guys slow down. Although I have been very busy at work and unable to be very active on this forum lately, having corresponded with this Mr Johnson many times on this forum he may have a strange kind of humour but that is all it is. I think MrJohnson should in the future keep his humour to himself and Adam should realise that. However With the corespondance I acheived from Mr johnson I learnt a great deal.and far as I can see apart from my self and him I do not see any other members with the knowledge that he has. You read his threads and you will see that this man's no fool.

I have noticed looking at threads for the last few months nobody is discussing items such as shell contruction or candle building any longer! bring it back .

Speaking as a fool myself I have all the correct licenses required and I know he does! which makes any one building fireworks at home a greater fool than he.

What is is the percentage of the members here building fireworks illegally at home in this present climate of terrorist activites. being a man who uses words as a living in court I would reactivate my thought as to what certain members reply to in this forum as it is all being watched by the goverment departments from local to mainstream.

right on Rob Maltese multi break shells proably the best multi break shells availible Italian canisters and spanish multi shot comets. All far superior in quality and effect from anything that comes out of China. Don't get me wrong i think the pyro that comes out of China is good value for money but an awfull lot of it lacks any real quality control and I feel there's nothing worst than going to some large hyped pyro display to find the whole show is made up of poor quality Chinese and no good quality pyro.
