I just spent a good 40 bucks on a professional dust mask from a hardware store; it claims to protect against dust, fumes, and lead-related problems. I'm wondering if it's worth the money? my previous method was just to hold my breath and retreat when I run short on air?

I was surfing ebay for a good price for a pound of dark aluminum, as occasionally I can get a good deal on some. I would like you guys to check out this link, and tell me if you're not as freaked out as I am! Finer particle size, and uncoated!! Selling in four pound quantities, this stuff shouldn't be legal!

I was reading on skylighter today, and I was wondering what Teflon does with metal powders? I would prefer to learn about it on here rather than learn first hand and realize it's air sensitive or something. Any practical uses? This is in the correct place, chemistry of Teflon?

I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a metal grinding machine? Any specific plans? I found one on Ebay...Would this be good?

Alright, I have a few questions;

1. Exactly what good is iodine crystals to any plausable pyrotechnic mixture?
I have a lot of them; a friend acquired them (don't know how) and gave them to me, around 20 ounces of them.

2. what good are Iron filings ; could someone give me some compositions that I could use? The mesh is around 80-100.

3.I actually am striving to make my own fuse, AKA not buying fuse any more. Anybody have any good, slow, and reliable formulas that may be good for coating string with for some fuse?
