Thanks for the info there,

does anyone know which port it would come to.

I live in Southampton and have a storage facility about 100m from where i live plus I can get access to a van.

Just got to find out if i can leggaly store it there and ill contact the HSE regarding this

Southampton is licensed to receive class 1, as is Felixstowe.

Importation of fuse isn't just a case of sending an order and receiving it. Any Class 1 article entering the UK must have a valid CAD (competant authority document). This means the HSE must have been made aware of it, and issue a "license" for it to come into and be transported into/around the UK.

If the particular fuse already has an entry then you don't need to get one however you need to prove that the fuse is identical in everyway (including its packing). The hse provide no help in proving this - so it's usually not the route to go and hence a new CAD must be applied for. This will include ensuring chlorate and sulphur are not in admixture.

Capacitive discharge isn't really that practical, there are other ways of going about it... it's also worth remembering that igniters are current devices not voltage ones, so unless you are after massive cable runs on thin wire, I'd recommend 24v.

Don't use Cat5 cable unless you get "patch lead" style stranded conductor, single conductor/core cable is mean for installation not for regular movement.

I know this is an old thread but i was spekaing to my chemistry teacher today and he said that you can change KCLO3 into a sulphate easily and then very easily change it back into KCLO4. Any ideas on how to do this??

Why not use electrolysis of KClO3 to produce KClO4, think of it as refining:)

Sounds like you guys need more control of your machine.

If you get popups appearing without being asked or them being blocked by IE/Netscape or your firewall, then rather you then me!

Turn run activex to "ask first", and unsafe scripting to "ask first" in your options, I loaded his site with no problems.
