Could even be handy in this country, if the mortars are loaded once its unhitched.
It would certainly cut the hassle of burying or staking mortars in the ground.
And even easier to pack up!
Any reasons shows arent fired from towable platforms? or is it just that ive not seen any

Ideal show platform is an 18 wheeler flatbed... drive onto site, park.... fire and drive off home no need to even get out the cab if it was fully loaded on arrival.

400 mortars take up quite some space - and once loaded you wouldn't want them with anything placed on top of them or in any other orientation than vertical - which means a single layer of mortar racks (upto 8 inch) in the back of a single van along with all the other cakes/candles equipment etc etc - that makes for one MASSIVE van...

Exactly... 400 at 2.5inch (smallest shell) = 1000inch = 83foot!
If you assume an average of the shell sizes and take into consideration the racks/tubes it would have to be a HUGE van!

400 at 2.5 inch mortars
40 rows of 10
40X2.5equals 100 inches.
10X2.5equals 25 inches
you need space 2.5m long by 0.6m to keep the mortars in, so not a huge van.
and that's if they were stacked in only one layer, so not that big a van.
