I'd recommend it to anyone if it ever happens again.

Apart from not having enough to drink I had a fantastic day, many thanks to all who organised it.

Though on one of the organised events i saw on the list(TBA), there was something called the "K-LOB" event? would a one have to bring his/her rockets only? or would it be more of a pyrotechnic event? (-in that not only rockets can be used?) :D

One other thing, when i tried to get on the website, it seems to have been refurbished. The note says that it'll be up and running by this weekend but hasn't yet, would someone please be able to tell me when it will be up?

Thanks :)

Have a look at the website:

http://www.ukra.org....ents/klob.shtml

I'm sure the admin will provide further details closer to the event. I'm hoping there will be a nice display to finish off the evening.

I'm an idiot lol. :glare:
Though will it be model rocketry only? or based more on shells, and displays as well?

We do not organise the rocket flying, we organise a professional firework display, and for the first time, an exciting day full of activities for society members, details of which to be announced asap!

Whoa cant wait! :D
I've only heard of these events being set up in the USA, I'll assume that we'll have to check on the websitefor details when they're up? or is everyone in the society being sent letters? (heh heh that oughta make the non memebers wanna join)

thanks

I've got some photos finally from the trip to Kimolton, they're far from fantastic shots but what the hell, here they are.
Hmm, had to re size those photos, 2700 pixels x something else didn't like doing anything.

I've chucked in a couple of fire poi photos that I was vaugly talking to some people about on the trip, the green flames are from a solution of boric acid in meths.

These photos are resized, so if anyone wan't a full sizer PM me and I'll sort something.

I can see your point, and I understand the sensitivity (I have a few German friend and it's not an era they like to talk about). The fountains in questions are from the time just after the war and if was sort of a victory joke (we kick Hitler in the bum, ye, big man, he can only heil Hitler himself now!). I would not try to think of it too seriously. It?s from time where the sense of humour came to uplift the clouds of distress and should not view the same way today.

The reverent has shown members quite a remarkable collection items and this was just one piece.

It wasn?t even meant that way. Maybe I forgot to put a smiley behind my statement :)

I just watched the movie "The Producers" ... "Springtime for Hitler", you know? :) I can laugh about that but I just wondered that there are even fireworks articles with Hitler on it :)
