Hi,

I have a friend who has moved up to Sheffield from down South. He has asked my advice about where to get good fireworks at a reasonable price in that area. If you can recommend anywhere I am sure he would be grateful. Brands, items as well as retailers if possible pleaee. he likes a fair bit of noise.
Organisation is a wonderful trait in others

What is his "travelling range?"

Of the shops I have visited, Galactic Fireworks is probably the nearest. There is also Pure Party in Chesterfield , Great Northern in Leeds and Epic in Batley.

There is a shop called Chinese fireworks in Sheffield, I've never been, so can't really give opinion. I think also a company called Roman fireworks in Doncaster.

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

We are just about 5 miles from Sheffield and (unlike Chinese fireworks in Sheffield) we are open all year around :)

Is there anywhere I can find a list of what you stock and their relevant prices?

just confirming stocks for this year

Its been a very difficult year, with a lot of fireworks changing to comply with the new regulations (limiting the amount of flash powder per tube) and I have spent a LOT of time visiting demo evenings and testing lots of samples.

I am hoping to complete the list this week - will include Kimbolton, Royal Party, Brothers, Fireworks Emporium and Dynamic

Cheers

Stuart

Is Dynamic a new brand- I've not heard of them. I know there is a Dynamic shop, but I didn't know they did any own-brand products.

That is a rather difficult site to navigate. The page is pastered with graphics, flash, images, colours, text etc, it takes a while to actually find where the fireworks are!

The range itself is clearly Men Shun, under their "own brand" label, and at Men Shun's full retail price (minus the odd fiver on the biggest items). This isn't the best value or the best selection.

Nothing wrong with Men Shun, of course- check out the videos. But to be honest it is better to buy fireworks from a selection of brands.

Likewise, Galactic Fireworks seem to have gone exclusivly for Men Shun this year, selling in packs. Edit- I'm wrong- they do have other brands. It is just their mail order that is Men Shun.
