You will get your results, dont worry. It is nerve racking though.

to anyone who dont pass, dont give up, it is a lot to take in in one day and the manual needs some time to sit down and fully read. I retook my test for free and passed.

There is a constant need for training BUT in reality there are only enough people to make the course viable once a year for forum members.

I'd also be really interested in doing this course. Is there anyone else that would be interested if we can get enough people together to run a day?

Hi guys when and where is the next training day . What exactly do you learn to do on this day. The word test scares the crap out of me but love fireworks. Have made a few for parties and friends, want to learn more.

This course has been hosted by the Society and some individuals over the past few years. (remember that this thread was started years ago!)

These trainers provide one of the few industry accredited courses to reach the knowledge level required to be a "person with specialist knowledge" in the meaning of the current legislation. Exat may also have a training interest, as may others.
The course is designed to teach how to plan and fire a show to be within the law and best safety practise, Some fusing and firing of cat4 devices is included. The particular value of the Illuminate course is that some insurers offer price discounts if you have passed the course within the last three years. It also gives some indication of competence when they have to determine an insurance premium.

The Committee of the Society may offer a course to society and forum members, otherwise members may care to do the organising and offer spare places to members.
Typically 12 - 20 participants will permit a reasonable price per person. The location needs a firing site and a classroom with "exam" style desk and chairs.
