Can anyone estimate just how much flash was in the Panda Earthshaker?

As a percentage, or by weight?
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

hi all
just to repeat what i said at the AGM (and it realy do piss me off to say this)but ANY consumer firework that contains flash powder are due to be phazed out.in a few years time fireworks that contain flash will be cat 4 only and even then the flash content will be reduced.as ive been told any firework that contains more than 6grammes is classed as 1.1g.i just wish the powers that be would just leave us alone.i feel(just like many in this industry) that things like fireworks are being killed off.i have fired lots of new regs stuff and i think its a pile of crap(more money less powder).i mean i fired a new reg rocket off 2 nights ago and i think i could fart better than that.

As a business we saw this coming around 8 years ago and got out.
The powers that be wont be satisfied until they`ve decimated our industry altogether.

More nails in the coffin! I`m really pissed off!!!Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Well, part of the problem now is that whilst some 1.4G is good, some of it is truely f---ing awful. Mostly the stuff that they just swapped from being flash based to black powder based. New 1.4G stuff (ie ranges that came out last year) contain some pretty fireworks- that can indeed make a decent bit of noise.

What has gone are the real noise makers- the brash, "banging" stuff.

I think people just need to shrug and say "things are different" now. If you don't WANT the loud noise some might even say due the the creativly and style of new effects (some of the) new stuff is better.

More money less powder. Now, this is a relevant point, I think.

I'm not sure, are there move / proposals to restrict the maximum NEC to 1KG?

In the USA, it's already 500g, which means that they don't have the big multi shot ones like we do. (Tiger's Revenge etc)

Here is an article from the USA- Bob Weaver

He seems chuffed! But compared to a 2000g cake, 500g is pretty small-fry!

Try a 1.3G rocket, or a "pyromeshed" rocket.

I fired a few 1.3G rockets last year, they were very good, especially "Hawk" from Marvel.

You won't get the volume of old "Hellraiser" type rockets, but the burst are very impressive.

They might only get 500g cakes in the US, but they also get 3" tubes, and 1.75" reloadable shells! to make up for it and the ability to link fireworks together!
Regards.

Like the sound of this! Don't like the sound of more cut backs, the day 1.3G goes is the day I give up, making the most of it while it's still here.

Not sure that's entirely accurate though, calling all 1.4G shite product. But hey that's your prerogative I guess :)
