#85788 1lb coreburner tooling for nozzleless hand rammed motors

Posted by dr thrust on 30 July 2015 - 05:40 AM

Hi sparky, if you want your rockets to launch, launch the wooden mallet as far as you can , it's not ideal, go for a rawhide, brass, or copper hammer , I had the same prob when I swapped to a rubber mallet Cato after Cato , look at a tube support as well, you can go to town on the ramming

#79033 Delay compositions.

Every option is Worth investigation , it's this that makes amateur pyrotechnical experimentation so fascinating , I do know one method of Chinese delay through dissection of a motor a mixture of hard granules of bentonite and bp pressed together to form a fast and easy to manufacture ( no pass fire hole ) combined clay bulkhead and delay.

#78997 automation in the firework industry

i have the same set up in my shed, interesting to see a peanut shell used for the heading,( the one shell i could never pull off) i thought most of these headers just had a plastic bag full of stars and burst, great tooling video, hand ramming will never seem the same again lol

im a carpenter by trade, and i can confirm, if is a green colour then its been "tanalized" and most properly contains arsenic compounds , i have a wood burner at home and they recommend you dont burn it, so i dont :) .although ive worked with treated timbers for structural roof members, no colour but strong odour, with the recommendation one, wears gloves/ washes their hands afterwards.
so id give it a miss myself
