For a start employ a basic scheme of learning to practise pyrotechnics.

Sulphur, Potassium nitrate, charcoal: there are almost limitless things you can do with these three chemicals, start from there by trying to make decent black powder and work from there.



Good point. Out of interest is there any preferred choice type of charcoal?

Thanks will check out those sites. I had a decent pair of eye protection but end of college year which is a shame. O well I will just have to buy another pair.

Always best to be sensible.

Still If it means home made can only be used on site while the limit of 5KG applies to consumer fireworks.

Ok wow talk about confusing.

Ok so I could talk to the local police and find out about local county law.

But that sounds like it will cause a lot of problems well I can talk to local council.
