Spec me a display and dealer

30 October 2008 - 09:55 PM

Hey my 2nd post.

Have been doing displays with my father for a number of years now for friends and family, but we used to just pop down the garden centre and just buy the products which we think would look good. Last year spent about £200 on kimbolton fireworks as the only place we found around us stocking fireworks was said garden centre. All in all I was disappointed, kimbolton stuff is good quality but just doesn't have the WOW factor and seems a little tame.

Been researching the last few days and the internet really does help, especially with videos. Brothers pyro seems seriously impressive, but unfortunately epic fireworks are too far away for me to go on saturday and get back for a party and fireworks. Can't find many other places that stock them except jordans near oxford, but they do one called 'legend'.

Budget about £200-300 (will push parents and their friends for more), and am looking for a nice SIB finale, a good 2 largish cakes, 2/3 more small cakes (possibly fire in pairs), and some fountains to start with, and maybe the odd little good value rocket. Ooops there is my display in reverse order

So what do you recommend, pretty and loud, and where from, as around us locally the seasonal shops will probs sell standard and poss black cat, or there are the slightly disappointing kimbolton approx £80 SIB and cakes. Willing to travel about 1.5hrs on sat.

Cheers

p.s, anyone got any proton bombs hidden away :P :D :P

pp.s These fireworks tickle my fancy:
- Air collision M17 @epic
- brothers - wild horses
- BOGOF men shun cakes
- Anything by brothers, really really looks amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!
