In the same way that millions of products are far cheaper direct from source, alas you and the rest of the UK market are many thousands of miles away from these factories and there are many costs involved in getting the fireworks over here and out to the retailers

I think it had excellent effects for a SIB, horsetails... nice coconut breaks stands out form the crowd a bit that one in my opinion, altho i think just a little too expensive, at £100 you would get alot more takers. At £150 im sure there is plenty of profit in there for everyone ;o)

I agree, £100 is a stumbling block for me as a supplier also
I will be stocking Midnight, I will also be giving away free stock with it (as I would do with anyone spending £150 in my shop )

It is, as said a very expensive piece but one that I feel is also very well made. Although it will be interesting to see one "in the flesh" at the end of the month, along with the rest of the range.
Although it has it's £150 price tag the profit margin is still the same as any other product in the range.#

Midnight actually looks quite similar , in regards to style and series of effects, to one Firework Emporium did called "Night At The Opera", which retailed at around £50 (as it happens.)
That said, that was 2 years ago, of course, and I'm sure that when seen "in the flesh" Midnight's effects are bigger, higher etc.

Night at the Opera was an excellent piece alas it was dropped about 2-3 years ago because the price rose to the extent that the piece would have had to retail around the £90 mark, which just wasn't viable.
They (Fireworks Emporium) also had difficulty in getting close to the same performance when they reduced the flashpowder content (I am sure anyone at the demo evening a couple of years ago will agree)

Was there a flash and non-flashpowder version of this? I'm fairly sure the one I saw was non-flash (bought in 2007), but it still looked good. It used a good mixture of leaves, crossettes, crackles , spinners, fish etc- did have some bursts too.

Night at the Opera was always a quieter piece, falling leaves, crossettes etc so may not have been AS affected by the flash and more affected by the huge price increases.

Yes, this will be interesting.
The video footage for the new Brother's stuff does look good, but as with all video footage there may be differences between that footage and the "finished product" that arrives in the UK.
Credit to Brothers for bringing out a new range, rather than simply altering old spec stuff and keeping the same packaging , artwork etc.
..
Good luck to Brothers- and credit to them for putting the effort in again this year.
