ye, when i performed this, it sure made me have a hell of a lot more respect for my chlorate black powder.

about 80kg of kno3
about an awful lot of acid

i bet half the cost is the shipping!

I wish I had 80kg... I haven't even got 8 grams right now:(

Adam, I don't think there is a way to stop newer members from posting here or there. It will just take time and some gentle directing from the rest of us. :)

bit of a late reply i know but i always thought high explosives where monomolecular , that is they carried the fuel and oxidiser on a single molecule wheras low explosives where separate mixtures of fuel and oxidiser ??

feel free to put me in my place if i am wrong of course :arse:

i seem to be outclassed in the firework knowledge here:):)

Oh god, PLEASE don't start a "Flash powder: does it detonate?" topic. They go nowhere fast...
The monomolecular argument is a tough one, especially when you start to consider cheddites and that sort of thing. They're definitely fuel/oxidiser mixtures, but no-one in their right mind would consider them to be LE's.
