We basically need a balance here, we need enough people to chip in so we can get costs down, but we also need to not have everyone who ever existed chipping in otherwise we won't get as much fuse.

BigBang: If you find out the definate order amount then we can all decide how much we want. If we find there is some left over then we will either have to share it out and each pay a bit extra or get another chipper-inner.

Like BigBang says, anyone who wants to join in on this venture say aye.

I'm totally in, and when I get this job I will be willing to put about 200 into the 'project' I'm wanting a few miles of visco and several (in the hundreds) of tubes etc.

I love you BigBang :)
(not in the gay sence... im not gay, honest)

Regards,
Drew

Edit: I just got my website sorted, I can make a 'fund raising' form that will display the statistics of the project, will only take a minute to setup.

"Aye" - will gladly chip in, but I don't think it will ever happen : )

I hope I'm proved wrong though - would be lovely to have a few miles of el cheapo fuse, especially the 1.8mm stuff. I love skinny visco : )

I thought i'd done something wrong! thats what happens when you do calculations at 10pm after a long day!

Nevertheless......my figures are still correct if we order 180,000m. There is no minimum order, so we can order as much or as little as required. We dont actually need to fill the container completely.

I agree that this is a bit ambitious, but theres no reason why it cant happen. If enough people get together, it is quite possible. I recently brought in from China, 200kg of a certain chem  and split it 8 ways......or at least thats what was meant to happen! but thats another story.

Does anyone here have the facilities and necessary papers to store this amount of visco?

I would chip in for Tubes, Casings, maybe fuse and a few other things that may stir the interest that you lot may come up with.

But... To be honest i doubt it will not go ahead.. but if it does then that will be great!

I'm going to arrange a system to raise the money for the project, there maybe a system that I can use to store the money till we reach the target.
I'll keep you posted.

Woah Drew, (my number1 fan :) ) we need to get the basics in place first, before we start raising the cash!

I have had about 10 people interested, only another 170 to go, assuming each person takes 1000metres, its not looking good guys :(

Unless we buy less, but that would make the price per metre higher.
