Well I have to concur!

Anthony - please let us have the pictures of the devices. We are dying to see them and I'm sure you are dying to show them off!

So please do...

So...While we wait for Anthony's reply....What exactly is this very expensive and rare firework display/set?

its basically a large sculpture/drawing of images (in this case planes/tanks etc) that are compiled from small pyrotechnic devises called "lances" which are easiest described as small portfired with different coloured tips.

The lances are organised in such a way so once lit the coloured tip privides a dot of colour - add more and more lances and you can "draw" an image, add a few candles/fountains etc etc to it and you get more flexibility etc etc

They are expensive mainly due to the amount of man hours that goes into making them rather than the expense of the fireworks themselves.

I certainly wouldn't recommend them for smaller budgets as your money can be better spent elsewhere however for larger/commercial displays then they can be very effective

these type of explosivies are crap no offence to the people who make and design them. I'd rather spend my cash elsewhere like on some rockets :D

explosivies

 , I think lancework is fantastic, it's always a great thing to show during a finale and crowds love it! You can easily make your own with "morning glory" style sparklers if you want too. I'm sure the link to the site is on here somewhere.

To say they are 'crap' seems to say you prefer 'quantity over quality' (or 'bang for your buck' over 'artistry')

If you were to see some of the setpieces from Malta and elsewhere, maybe that would change your mind.

Crap????!!!!! :o :o Sorry but lance work is fantastic, and great crowd pleaser. I think the older you get the more you appreciate the finer things.
