Ive tested one of my 2" tubes to destruction and found the parts that seperated from the tube were very thin flimsy stretched peices of plastic and traveled only 10 to 15 metres. To show the strength of the pipe though I had to use 100g of my balsa bp and put 5" mdf plugs in the ends screwed and glued in to stop them popping out.
There is definately 2"id with a wall thickness of 6mm and 3.5"id with a wall thickness of 12mm and a range of others 1 or 2 smaller 1 between and 3 or 4 bigger that Ive not measured yet.
Let me know what ya after and Ill do what I can

Note the holes so that a pole can be inserted into each side to keep it upright and steady

Part Numbers: 8705K141, 8705K721. Which would be better for 1" shells? And will this platic even work?

I identified it as a PE plastic by setting it on fire. If it's floating on water it is either PP or PE. If it drips while burning a sample it can only be PE. Now the question is which kind of PE?
There is a density difference on PE plastics but i don't think I can measure the density precisely.
Anyone got some good ideas on how to find out?

Even if it holds a lift its not to say next time it wont shatter and PE does shatter to my recolection.
HPDE is acually weaker than PE but it has more elasticity so can contain the shock load of a lift charge going off better. Also HDPE will stretch and tear into wafer thin peices (instead of shatter) which only sends out very light weight feathery shrapnel.
