i bought 3 of these last year for a tenner in a local bargain store, i might buy a couple, they were great value for money last year, apparently they have "improved" effects" as quoted on the Men Shun website

exactly my sentiments - I just disagree strongly that the most "bang for your buck" will be found at supermarkets

Supermarkets are poor value for money. BUT , to be fair, I am saying this as a guy who gets good deals from all year round fireworks shops. Put bluntly, the supermarkets/seasonals simply don't appeal to me at all now, as I can get a better range of quality stuff at lower prices from all year round shops.

Hi just to let you know the new lethal tank is pants, as are all men shun fireworks this year, they have taken the new regs too far, try to find some royal party or soverigien products all 1.3g and excellent

Thats hardly fair, some of their new lines use some very nice mines, colours and crackle effects, as well as some running comet effects.

Just bought the £4.99 and £9.99 selection boxes from Aldi (after pushing through all the low-life trash, scuzzers and general common folk). Anyway, these look great with interesting shapes and designs, the giddy dido (awful name (and no, I didn't forget an 'l')) has a design which hits the nostalgia button, reminding me of old esco fountains. The volcanoes feel full and the boxes (eg silver star battery) are real boxes containing the actual firework which has a plastic stand/base. shame there wasn't a bigger range. They also get a bonus retro point for calling one of them Chrysanthemum Fountain (aww bless). think i'll get another couple for next year (well, it's only a year away).

p.s. am i the only plymouth person on here?

There is a B&M Homestore in wakefield whaich wasn't selling fireworks however the morley B&M did have a very limited range and by limited i'm talking about 6 different fireworks, 1 selection box and a rocket selection box. Lethat tanks were 2.99 but they'd sold out.

Supermarket selections are wank. OK, some odd examples of cheap stuff , can be bought to suppliment (spelling?) a display , but dedicated shops are just so much better. If you are firing Cat 3 for a crowd, you need more variety than the supermarkets can provide.

I would think that it would be a mixture of colour, comets, crackle and perhaps whistles. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing spectacular.
