Epic Fireworks are moving as has already been reported or said in this thread , they will be moving to Barnsley to a brand new purpose built "shop" i dont have a date for this but i can confirm its in the pipeline and due to happen somtime this year , the new shop is going to be bigger so that means more stock/range available

they are also bringing in more new items this year for the new season but again no details are available at the moment

another thing to consider is the fact that if joe public wants a big burst effect then large rockets are the only option they have regardless of the price they sell at or how much they cost to make and £20 give or take £2 or £3 either way is the price they are selling for regardless of whoever's brand they are ,

combine that with the recent changes to them making them 1.3G and thereby harder to ship and store and you got even further problems in that for the most part your limited to whatever you find locally or be prepared to travel to get them , or drop down to the smaller burst black powder 1.4G versions

forgot to add that Epic are moving to Barnsley to bigger purpose built premises all being well sometime in the new year , shop will be much larger which will enable them to have more of a selection on hand and larger levels of stock so good news for all

In Topic: Does old 1.4G stuff automatically become 1.3G?

Just as the title says. Does stuff that was classified as 1.4G under the old regs remain 1.4.G, or does its status "convert" to 1.3G automatically? EG a Tiger's Revenge from 2006 of before is 1.4G- says it right on the box- but were it tested under new regs the flashpowder content would make it 1.3G. So what is it's status?

if its non compliant with the new regs then its 1.3G regardless if its a barrage or rocket or mine or whatever , there is a transitional period in order to let shops get rid of "old" stock that they have in storage but i have no idea when that ends

sadly as far as im aware those rockets are no longer made so once stocks are used up thats that for them , The King rocket David mentions isnt bad at all and has sold very well in its short history but again they are not being made anymore so once stocks are gone there gone , Epics Sky Thriller isnt a bad rocket has a huge burst in it and a good bang as well , Kimboltons old version Amber Glows are damn good as well but again stocks are short on those

i used Kings and Thrillers and Amber glows in my finale this year and everyone was blown away by it

its not uncommon to find the smaller rockets give much better value for money though and also have impressive breaks in them however most of the "good" break rockets (at the moment) are now 1.3G which limits thier availability

id go along with davids guess myself .....

it can or is quite confusing to most people now theres "2 kinds of fireworks" for want of a better term then again it doesnt help when the BBC keep referring to "industrial fireworks" either in every single report they do
