#75686 Whats your idea on price for these

Dumper, I can understand your comments, we all know that Masterchief, Karl, has done some things that he now regrets.. but the key word is HAS. Karl has left certain activities behind him and is now a very hard working and trusted member of our display crew.

So while I can understand that past activities may attract the comments you posted, things are certainly different now :)

I sincerely hope so as some of his previous activities attracted a bad light onto our jobs/past times.

Karl maybe instead of bluntly enforcing the laws on him why not maybe tell him your experiences and what you have learnt, possibly preventing him from going down the same path as you did? Instead you gave him cold blunt facts instead of just kindly having a word so to speak.

As for a personal low swipe, I dont know you for it to be personal its a mere observation and one in which I thought and still do think hypocrits have ground to redicule others for the same activity. Maybe if you had of worded your advise differently then you would not have come across as a hypocrit?

I cant advise on this particular matter as I do not fully understand the legislation surrounding sale to the general public.

Masterchief,

By all means I believe it is the obligation of this forum and its memebrs to correct people if they may have mis-understood things and be pointed in the right direction. HOWEVER my personal belief is that if you are going to correct someone or indeed try and force some form of authority upon them then it should be done by somebody who would not be a hypocrit in doing so.

I have bitten my tongue over this but isnt it you who ILLEGALLY imported Bangers or Petards and sold them on youtube? I think so pal so get off your high horse as its quite clearly you who does not fully understand the rules and reg's or should i say you willfully broke them? Getting Cat-4 sent by royal mail? and also selling cat 4 to non- Professional, insured people?

Ime sorry if this offends you however i do not like hypocrits if youve got something to say but dont follow that very same thing then ime affraid you have no grounds to comment.

#69158 British Traditions

Being probably one of the youngest members of this forum even i have seen the drastic change over this past 12/13 years. My old man used to hold a big nov 5th party and the street would come over. Now my dads is the only house on his street that has fireworks on the night, no big street party like the old days. I think this is partly due to the cost of fireworks now, limited availability and poor quality ( bear in mind he used to have all sorts of pyro from shells to jumpin jacks, dancing flowers and so on).

I will be carrying on the tradition for many years to come, when i have kids they we will be going conkor collecting and nov 5th will be a big event.

Who is actually to blame for the decrease in these English tranditions??

I remember years ago now when i was in single figure ages my old man having crate loads of fireworks including shells and some really crazy flying spinning thingies, ufo's and strange looking rockets that really did look like a real rocket with a bit of unscertain flight path !!! rip raps, jumping jacks ha ha and the old atom bomb and thunder king airbombs !!!

We used to have massive bonfire parties and i mean the hole street at our house for the party a true social event. These days i watch the night sky on nov 5th and see probably only 1 house per 10/15 actually let anything off. It worries me badly over the future of the tradition as the youngsters today are not all that interested in fireworks because they havent been brought up with them. Bonfire night turning into a 10 min display at the local park and thats it home t.v then bed.

Sorry for the rant just had to let it out ha ha, but yea lets have a bigger and better 5th this year than last and make that the case for the future !!!!!

There was abit of a discussion last year about nuisence neighbours. At the end of the day on the 5th of november its your right to let of fireworks aslong as they are consumer ones and not too late. No authority in the country will honour there complaint on bonfire night. You are well within your rights to let them fireworks of so do so with pride !! if that was my neighbours ide go and get the biggest i could buy, infact scrap that ide make a few cheeky flash bangers to kick the night off with a right boom !!!!!! 6 gram of confined flash is awesomley loud
