#78479 A little fun on a small scale

You could use some of those minature theatrical maroon cases Cooperman has and make it a mini report cake!

Failing that just a straight forward comet cake would be quite an achievement!

And probably less importantly the detrimental effects it will have on your trade relationship with Kimbolton.

The last one was a personal attack on a forum member for his previous mistakes That forum was locked ,so I didnt have the opportunity to add my comment that having worked with him on a show for starsky72 I found him to be a safe knowledgeable dedicated superb impeccable choice of team leader

Thank you Icarus, it was a pleasure to have you as part of the display team.

As for the negativity toward KBF, they brought the show back home so to speak, i'd rather have a UK based company take the reigns from the like of Groupe F etc purely because thats how it should be!

Regardless of previous incidents, the investigative authorities reprimanded KBF adequately. The resulting investigation pushed the UK fireworks industry massively forward in terms of adequate and safe equipment. In my opinion KBF would be the ones at the forefront of benefitting from their mistake putting them in a very good position to tender. Learning from mistakes is not a concept everybody seems to grasp however.......

Keep up the good work, two of the best Lonfon NYE displays I have seen that's for sure, we have already seen innovation in use of Big Ben (By the way anybody notice the microphone feeding the chimes picked up all the single shots and mines firing from the tower?!)

I thinks its more the fact he has run that company for 47 years, show me any companies accident book of 47 years and will they be able to say there has been NO accidents? I doubt it, If a younger company slates this accident rate of a 47 y/o company then that is very foolish in my opinion and jus invites karma to bite you on the A**

Forum needs a 'like' button.............. Excellent comment.

It was never my intention to slate Ron or Kimbolton. I didn't know who did the display until I asked and my personal opinion was that I think it was messy. Everyone has their own opinion of what they like and don't like display wise. In my opinion they have done better.

I give you that one, everybodys expectations and appreciations are different, I once commented 'constructively' on an MLE display, it was my own opinion but it pissed a few people off........

100kg Really isn't much, I'd perhaps aim for at least 250kg?

wonder why all the posts have now been deleted.... Its better when forums only allow a short window of time to edit your own posts :)

Well says it all really doesn't it.

And in doing so puts me in a position to advise, yeah I did wrong and learnt by it and I don't try to hide that fact not saying all of your statements above are entirely true in fact there is an element of misinformation there. This forum fails to grasp the fact that many learn by their mistakes. I'm not here to cause trouble, i'm preventing others from getting into the trouble that I did. I looked long and hard into the leglislation, this research is what sharply stopped me in my tracks although in hindsight perhaps this research should have taken place beforehand. If you don't want somebody that can talk from experience and you persist in tarring me with the same old brush then fine, UKPS is of no real benefit to me, I don't have to post, I choose too.

If I were continuing to buy bangers etc then yes by all means call me a hypocrite but i'm not and have not for a long time so don't.

Now are you going to contribute to this discussion and perhaps advise one of your members, or just take another low swipe at me personally. There is more than one person of reasonable stature following this through with me that aren't neccessarily major players in the UKPS circuit, if one of your members is doing something wrong shouldn't they be advised as such?!

It's pointless Starsky, obviously being an experienced and long standing retailer and significant member of the firework industry you don't know what your talking about.....
